None of our organic cotton products are treated with flame retardants.  Our cotton products are produced from 100% organic cotton* and we use GOTS-approved, non-toxic and PVC, heavy metal and phthalate free dyes. Organic cotton is grown without the use of any synthetic agricultural chemicals such as fertilizers, pesticides, or flame-retardants. Whereas high levels of agrochemicals are used in the production of non-organic, conventional cotton. Our Polar Bee™ Repreve® micro-fleece pajamas are designed without the use of topical flame retardants, which are typically used on children’s micro-fleece pajamas. Instead, Repreve® embeds a phosphorus-based flame retardant into the fiber at the molecular level to help prevent exposure to surface chemicals.
